This is a dark, brooding wine that nonetheless reveals a generosity of fruit, refined poise and exemplary structure. Firm, chewy tannins provide backbone, yet the composed fruit profile keeps the wine approachable now while promising additional development with age. Petit Verdot (15%) deepens the violet hue and reinforces the tannic framework, but the palate is unmistakeably Cabernet – Black Forest cherry, blackcurrant leaf, with classic cedar and cigar-box nuances. A discreet touch of fine French oak introduces warming spice and a hint of wood smoke, culminating in a long, precise and refreshing finish. Recommended drinking window: now–2035.
